back to the beginning…

Summer of 2019

My name is Gabriella, best known as Gabi. I was born on October 30th, so naturally my favorite holiday is Halloween. I am a middle child, stuck between two sisters! (lucky me!) My older sister, Sabrina, and younger sister, Valentina have helped me learn so much about myself. Family is one of my top priorities! We spend weekends making memories with each other and our new puppy, Tobi! 

Reading became a huge part of my life in middle school. I fell in love with a series of books that changed my perspective of literature for years to come. I was amazed at a book’s ability to transport me from my small hometown to places all over the world. I would spend hours and hours flipping through pages, constantly hungry for more. 

If I’m not lost in a book, I’m most likely in a deep, dark binge-watching hole! Netflix is a guilty pleasure of mine. I could easily spend my Sundays on the couch letting episodes play while avoiding the “Monday Blues”. A few of my favorites include: The Office, On My Block, New Girl, and...I'll save the rest for another time!

And while I enjoy family time, and my alone time, I also love spending time with my closest friends. It could be as simple as a study session at one of our houses, or random trips to Target. If we’re looking to do something a bit more lavish we may go to our favorite lunch spot, Raymond’s. And if that doesn’t satisfy the vibe of the day, we’ll get our nails done, swing by a thrift store, stop at our favorite local cafe, and end up watching the latest movie. 

An important fact about me is that I'm a feminist. I am becoming stronger, more independent and more confident as a young woman in a world dominated by men. Supporting and empowering not only women, but the entire human race is at the forefront of my agenda.  I am a feminist who pledges to 

turn my words into actions in the name of equality, and unity.

I’ll admit, I’m also an introvert. 100%. But oddly enough, I am extremely interested in learning about other people. Their opinions, perspectives, and cultures intrigue me. I enjoy talking about real life, things that are happening all around us. Every day we learn more about ourselves and about other people.
