Feminist...are you sure?

Before our conference with Grace Randolph, I was never interested in film reviews or films in general. I am not very savvy on the latest releases, however speaking to someone whose livelihood depends on film releases was very interesting. She is constantly working because content for her channel never stops. I enjoyed learning about what a week in her life is like. What sparked my interest most was Ashley's question about Grace's "hatred towards Jessica Chastain".
Grace responded to Ashley's question by giving us an example as to why she believes Jessica Chastain is so "terrible".  Grace referred to a video Chastain posted on her twitter touring Central Park hoping to find a female statue. In this video she is "making fun" of the men and animals and fictional characters displayed in the park. Grace explained that instead of promoting Chastain's efforts to raise money to create a statue of women, Chastain made a fool of herself.
This conflict sparked my interest because I had just learned about the making of the statue in my Gender Studies class. I did more research to find the video of Chastain on her twitter and looked into the unveiling of the actual statue. It is a structure of  Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth. It represents the unity of the power women have when they work together. Jessica Chastain along with a private fund raised $1.5 million to create and maintain the monument. Chastain posed as someone seeking equality but her walk in the park led me to believe otherwise. As a feminist myself, it discourages me to see women bashing others to get themselves some spotlight. While I don't think Ms. Chastain is "terrible", I do believe she is failing her feminist sisters with a video like this.
